Teacher Appreciation Post

Teachers Day is just around the corner. So I thought I'd write this to say a heartfelt thank you to my teachers who have guided me through mt pursuit of knowledge. Throughout my entire school life, I've studied under various teachers (ABUDEN?) Some real nice, some who carry their duties by the book, teachers who are forever PMS-ing, some that make you wanna fluff a pillow and fall asleep in their class and some teachers are just pure fantastic. I'm not gonna say who's who..but let's just carry on.

When I was in Primary 1, I had this terrible math teacher who strikes terror in the hearts of her student. Like, seriously, she was just that bad. I had another one in Form 3 till Form 5, she was like the ultimate queen of, you know..*insert-five-letter-word-here* (I'll get to her later). So, this Math teacher had a teacher of pinching her students till it leaves a mark. It was only through this teacher I learnt that "habis" not only meant finish, but it also meant so. There was this fella who shifted school because of this teacher. All this in Primary 1. Haihh..

Now, moving on to Primary 6, this teacher has taught me the longest. Well, she's still teaching. When I was in P6, she told us her age and I was counting the years till she retired. But I guess she has no plans on doing so. She taught me, then my sister and then my youngest sister too. So, she has taught the three sisters English. Dear Madame Geraldine Vaz

Trying to give my "swag" smile :)

I don't know why but my English teachers end up teaching me the longest, in both primary as well as secondary school. There were times where I got my name written in the dreaded buku merah.

Teacher, let me tell you now, I wasn't given a chance to explain what I did. I was framed by two idiots who were fooling around.
Oh well.

Madame Suba was also a terrific English teacher. She's strict yet can be very loving. Last I saw her was during my sister's UPSR result day. I had just finished my History paper 3. She saw me, wished me well, gave me a peck on the cheek and said the next time she'll see me in a function, would be my marriage.
Uh huh. Tell me about it.

HIGH SCHOOL - SMK USJ 13

I don't really remember my lower secondary years teachers.. so I'll fast forward to 2012. I was 16 and in Form 4 Efisien.

Mr Syahrir

Yes. We got him as out ICT teacher. Trust me, he's so cool! He lets us watch movies, go on FB and even bought us all pizza once :)

Madame Adzlinda

This is one add math teacher you don't wanna mess with.

Madame Tay

A chem and math teacher :) But, mostly math.

Madame Tan Poh Yoon

Dedication? She's the definition !

She loves, loves, loves (did I mention loves?) to give you assignments.

Few days left for SPM

Madame Vasantha

Strict History teacher with highly effective teaching methods

She taught me History when I was sitting for my PMR and my SPM. Thank God, both years I passed History with a high distinction :D

Madame Farzanna

She was the one who taught me English the longest in secondary school. Form 1, 2 and 5. Marilyn says she gives me good marks for English because she knows me the longest. Crazy. She and Madame Vasantha know my love for books far too well :)

Madame Zurina

We resorted to calling her our 'mummy' for our last year at school. She was so warm, a soft-spoken person, hardly scolds us and yet hounds us for our homework. Marilyn and I talk to her in English during BM class and we still get away with it :)
We love you Puan Zurina !

Mr Thiru

You are the awesomest teacher filled with swag. I've picked up a few things from you and I really hope you spread your colourful knowledge with everyone.

Still remember that teacher I mentioned earlier? Everyone who studied under her hated her. PE teacher. She even slapped a girl from the neighboring class and that girl updated her status : I really hate you. I hope you get hit by a bus.  Nuff' said

You have one of the most noblest jobs. Without you, we are nothing.
Happy Teachers Day !
